In a nutshell…
I am an Industrial Designer from Bombay, India. I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Industrial Design from Northumbria University in Newcastle (2016) and a Masters in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI, USA (2020). I am a competitive Table Tennis player and have competed at the Nationals, in University and School levels, in England and India. I also played Football (Soccer) for my high school team and have engaged in other sports like Basketball, Cricket, Tennis, Badminton, Swimming and Climbing. I am competitive and enjoy learning new sports and skills. I’d like to consider myself a SneakerHead and I enjoy indulging in story telling through shoes and keep up to date with the world of shoes as best as possible.
I thoroughly enjoy the process of design - from developing design briefs, planning and strategising, through ideation and concept development phases, all the way to manufacturing. Grounded in over 3 years of experience, designing consumer appliances, electronics and footwear; working and collaborating with designers, researchers, engineers and executives from various fields, all driven towards a singular goal - to make a positive difference to the world we live in, brings me an immense amount of creative satisfaction. And I pride myself on being a solid collaborator.
I also enjoy different forms of story telling; movies, plays, books, blogs, vlogs, etc. I am a voracious reader, an audiophile, a linguist and a travel enthusiast. Learning and exploring various places, observing and understanding people from different walks of life, their culture, habits, etc. ignites my curiosity.
